About Aligned Wellness

Aligned Wellness was created as a space for intentional healing, where individuals can reconnect with themselves, process their experiences, and build a life rooted in clarity, balance, and emotional well-being. 


Founded by Leslie Wilborne, LPC, NCC, Aligned Wellness is a mental health practice that provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed care with a focus on anxiety therapy, trauma, and emotional regulation. This practice was built with a deep understanding that healing does not happen in isolation. It occurs in safe, affirming spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and understood. 


At Aligned Wellness, therapy goes beyond symptom management. The work centers on helping clients understand the why behind their experiences, develop sustainable coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. 


A core component of this practice is the Four Pillars of Anxiety Framework™, a structured model developed to help individuals identify and understand the foundational domains that contribute to anxiety. This framework supports clients in breaking down overwhelming emotional experiences into clear, manageable areas for growth and healing. 


Aligned Wellness primarily serves adults navigating anxiety and chronic stress, trauma and PTSD, life transitions and identity exploration, emotional overwhelm and burnout, and relationship and interpersonal challenges. 


The practice is rooted in authenticity, transparency, and collaboration. Clients are not treated as problems to be fixed, but as individuals with stories, strengths, and the capacity for transformation. 


As Aligned Wellness continues to grow, the vision extends beyond individual therapy to include wellness retreats, experiential healing opportunities, and community-centered care, creating spaces where healing can happen both individually and collectively.

A Note from Leslie

I created Aligned Wellness as a therapy practice with intention. 


As a therapist specializing in anxiety therapy, I’ve seen how often people are taught to manage their symptoms without ever being given the space to truly understand themselves. My work is rooted in helping you slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with who you are beneath the stress, the trauma, and the expectations placed on you. 


I specialize in working with anxiety and trauma, particularly within communities that have historically had to navigate systems that were not built with them in mind. I believe therapy should feel human, collaborative, and honest, not clinical or disconnected. 


You don’t have to come in with the “right words” or have everything figured out. We work through it together. 


Through a combination of structured approaches, including my Four Pillars of Anxiety Framework™, and intuitive, relational work, my goal is to help you enhance your emotional well-being, feel more grounded, more aware, and more in control of your internal world. 


Healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to yourself.

Leslie Wilborne, LPC, NCC. Is licensed to practice therapy in the state of Connecticut.


In-person sessions are held in Hamden, CT.
